Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta today announced plans to build a new hospital campus on the property at the intersection of North Druid Hills and Interstate 85. Here is a link to the Atlanta Business Chronicle article http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta .
This new campus will allow Children’s to serve even more children in the state of Georgia and meet the growing need for access to specialized pediatric care.
Specific timelines have not been developed, but this is a long-term plan and it may take as long as eight years to plan, permit, design and build a new free-standing pediatric hospital.
Children’s wants to be a good neighbor to our community. The hospital will work with the Georgia Department of Transportation and local government to address infrastructure and traffic challenges, and has committed to working with Emory on its future plans across North Druid Hills.
